Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player secured his initial title for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a former world number one, has endured a difficult period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Presently working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's first championship after the Rome competition and initial on a hard surface after March of that year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is really nice," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my child her name, because the first title I won when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, featuring in that event previously this season.
The player's defensive play style and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led some to doubt if his capacity to perform at the top level was finished.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and play assertively, supported by an improved service.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky opponent, taking 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
Both players traded service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first professional title, gained dominance to create a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 early-game break points in a close third set before the Russian broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured the win with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
